Delete your account

Before you start

Deleting your Next Creata account removes your access to every cohort you've joined, every program you've enrolled in, and the full record of your learning progress. This action can't be undone — if you sign back up later with the same email, you start fresh.

What gets deleted

• Your profile (name, email, phone, country, bio, language preference).
• Authentication credentials (password hash, Google OAuth link, active sessions).
• Learning history: cohort enrolments, lesson progress, notes, bookmarks, quiz attempts, assignment submissions and instructor feedback you've received.
• Gamification data: points, badges, certificates, daily streaks.
• Community contributions: discussion posts and study-group memberships you authored will be anonymised so the cohort thread stays intelligible, but no longer attribute to you.
• Notification preferences and any registered push-notification tokens.
• Files you uploaded as assignment submissions, from our encrypted object storage.

What we have to keep

• Records required by Ugandan tax / financial law (e.g. payment receipts, kept up to 7 years from the date of the transaction).
• Aggregated and de-identified analytics that can no longer be linked back to you.
• System backups, which are rotated and overwritten within 90 days.

How to delete your account

Option 1 — from inside the app

Open the Next Creata app and go to Profile → Delete account. Confirm in the dialog that appears. Your account and the data tied to it are deleted immediately.

Option 2 — email us

If you no longer have access to the app, send an email from the address registered on your account to privacy@embiro.com with the subject line “Delete my account”. We reply with a confirmation link to verify the request, then complete the deletion within 30 days.

Timeline

• In-app deletion: completed immediately on confirmation.
• Email request: completed within 30 days of identity verification.
• System backups containing your data are overwritten within 90 days of the deletion.
